Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly greeted by a representative from the Everest Dreams who will assist you with your accommodation arrangements. After reaching your hotel, take some time to relax and rejuvenate. In the evening, join us for a delightful dinner program where you will have the opportunity to savor the flavors of exquisite Nepalese cuisine. Your overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Start your day with a hearty breakfast, followed by a guided tour of the Kathmandu Valley to explore its rich historical and spiritual sites. Visit renowned landmarks like the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Durbar Square, the sacred Pashupatinath temple, the iconic 'Monkey Temple' Swayambhunath, and the impressive Boudhanath stupa, one of the largest in the world.
In the afternoon, gather for a brief yet informative session with your trekking leader and fellow team members to discuss important details about the upcoming adventure.

After breakfast, take a domestic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region.
Experience the thrill of flying amidst the majestic Himalayas during the scenic flight.
Upon landing in Lukla, begin your trek after a short stop.
Follow a descending trail and reach the village of Cheplung, where you can admire the magnificent view of Mt. Khumbila, known as the "God of Khumbu".
Note that Mt. Khumbila is a sacred peak and climbing it is prohibited, making it one of the unclimbed peaks in the region.
Continue your trek from Cheplung through lush woodlands, descending towards Phakding.
Enjoy an overnight stay at a tea house in Phakding, accompanied by delicious meals throughout the day.

Begin your trek towards Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa capital and bustling economic hub of the region, offering a range of amenities.
Traverse through the dense wilderness of the Khumbu region, passing through the charming hamlets of Zamphute and Tok Tok.
Encounter uphill and downhill trails, crossing several suspension bridges over the rushing waters of the Dudh Koshi River.
Enjoy breathtaking views of Mt. Thamserku (21,675ft) and pass through the settlements of Benkar and Chumoa along the way.
Reach the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo, where your permits will be checked, then embark on a challenging uphill climb towards Namche Bazaar, crossing a high bridge with stunning views of the Dudh Koshi River gorge.
As you gain elevation, be rewarded with awe-inspiring vistas of Everest, Lhotse, Tawache, and other towering peaks.
Upon arrival in Namche, settle into your accommodation and take some well-deserved rest.

Today is dedicated to acclimatization, an essential process for your body to adjust to higher altitudes. Namche Bazaar offers various vantage points for acclimatization hikes.
Begin your day before dawn to witness the breathtaking Himalayan sunrise while strolling around the village.
After breakfast, make your way towards the settlement of Khumjung, starting with a traverse along a U-shaped hill above Namche Bazaar.
Marvel at the magnificent panoramic views of Kwangde, Khumbila, Thamserku, Tagi Tau, Pharchamo, Ama Dablam, and Taboche along the way.
Reach an intersection and take the right trail, passing a large Chorten and a series of mani walls, leading you to "THE EVEREST VIEW HOTEL," one of the highest-located hotels in the world.
Enjoy a lunch with spectacular views of Lhotse, Lhotse Shar (East) peak, Thamserku, Ama Dablam, and Taboche.
Afterward, visit the Khumjung School established by Sir Edmund Hillary and explore the Khumjung Monastery, which houses an image of Guru Padmasambhava and a preserved yeti skull, as believed by the lamas.
Return to Namche, where you can relax and soak in the sunset views from the porch of your tea house.

Begin your day early, embarking on a trek with mostly upward sections. Traverse through enchanting trails adorned with lush woodlands and miles of undergrowth. Marvel at the awe-inspiring views of the Mahalangur Himalayan range along the way. Once you reach Phortse, lighten your load by leaving your heavy backpacks behind and set out to explore the region.
Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture and traditions of the mountain people as you visit various settlements and ancient monasteries. Gain insight into their way of life and soak in the rich heritage of the area. Later, find a tranquil spot at your tea house and witness the magical hues of the sunset painting the sky.

Today's trek is relatively short and easy, but it's important to take it slow due to the altitude. Begin by ascending the Dudh Koshi Valley, immersing yourself in the serene surroundings.
Traverse through the arid alpine landscape adorned with scrub juniper and shrubs, while enjoying captivating views of the Himalayan range throughout the journey.
Pass through several settlements along the trail before reaching the quaint village of Machhermo.
After taking a well-deserved rest, if you still have the energy, consider exploring the base of Kyajo Ri and Machhermo Peak to further immerse yourself in the beauty of the region. Later, return to Machhermo for the night.

Begin your day early with a hearty breakfast before setting off on your trek. Follow a steep trail from Machhermo Valley, ascending across cliffs and pasture lands overlooking the Dudh Koshi Valley.
As you continue along the trail, the valley gradually widens, and you'll pass through the settlements of Pangka and the moraines of the Ngozumpa Glacier, the source of the Dudh Koshi River.
Walking on the western part of the glacier, you'll enter a wide valley and come across the expansive Longpongav Lake at an elevation of 4690 meters. Continuing on the trail, you'll reach the third lake, Gokyo, situated at 4750 meters. This charming settlement is nestled on the banks of a mesmerizing turquoise blue lake, surrounded by stone dwellings and yak pastures enclosed by stone walls.
After a brief rest, venture out to explore the region further by climbing a ridge at the back of Gokyo. From there, be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Ngozumpa Glacier and the lakes nestled in the lap of the mountains.

Rise before dawn and embark on an early morning journey to a vantage point, where you'll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the region.
Marvel at the majestic presence of Everest (8848m), Cho-Oyo (8153m), Lhotse (8511m), Makalu (8481m), Gyachung Kang (7922m) to the east of Cho-Oyo, Cholatse (6440m), Taweche (6542m), and Kangchung (6103m).
Take in the beauty of the Gokyo lakes and the vast Ngozumpa Glacier from a different perspective. After enjoying this remarkable experience, make your way back to Gokyo.
Later, continue your journey towards Tragnang, following a downhill track. Upon arrival, take the time to explore and appreciate the surroundings.
Retire for the night at a tea house, where you can enjoy a delicious meal.

Today, you will embark on the challenging journey of crossing the high mountain pass of Cho La. Although the climb is not technical, the altitude can pose difficulties, so it's important to proceed at a steady pace.
Trekking through steep and arid sections, you will eventually reach the summit of the pass. From this vantage point, be prepared to be awestruck by the magnificent views of Mount Everest, Kangtega, Kwangde, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and the surrounding peaks of the Everest region.
Take in the mesmerizing sight of glaciers, icefalls, and the intricate network of rivers.
After spending a brief time at the summit, continue your journey towards Dzongla. Descend along a zig-zag trail, carefully crossing the icy surface of the glaciers and navigating through the moraine. Follow the downhill path until you finally arrive at Dzongla.
Rest and rejuvenate at the tea house, where a warm meal awaits.

Start the day early and prepare for a long journey.
Traverse high pasture lands and arid rocky terrain, enjoying breathtaking views of the Himalayas.
Witness prominent peaks like Taboche, Lobuche, Pumori, and the Mahalangur Himal range, with glimpses of Tibet and Nuptse.
Cross the Changri and Khumbu glaciers, being cautious on steep and stony slopes.
Arrive at Gorak Shep, catch a glimpse of Kala Patthar, a renowned viewpoint.
Leave your heavy backpacks behind and head towards Everest Base Camp, crossing Gorak Shep Lake and witnessing magnificent views along the way.
Experience glaciers, icefalls, frozen pools, icy walls, and boulders before reaching Everest Base Camp.
After soaking in the beauty of the world's highest peak, retrace your steps back to Gorak Shep.
Spend the night at a tea house, enjoying a warm meal.

Wake up early and begin the ascent to Kala Patthar, a famous vantage point in the Khumbu region, at an elevation of 5545 meters.
Although non-technical, be mindful of the altitude as you climb. Upon reaching the summit, be rewarded with breathtaking views of Everest, Pumori, Nuptse, Changtse, Ama Dablam, Taweche, Kantega, Lhotse, and even Everest Base Camp nestled near the Khumbu Ice Fall.
Take some time to soak in the beauty before descending back to Gorak Shep.
After a brief rest in Gorak Shep, continue the trek towards Lobuche, descending along the trail.
Traverse the downhill sections and arrive at the settlements of Lobuche.
Rest and spend the night at a tea house, enjoying meals along the way.

Begin the challenging trek early, as the weather can deteriorate later in the day. Today's journey involves crossing the Kongma La pass, the most difficult pass encountered so far.
After breakfast, follow the trail that veers away from the main valley and ascends a hill towards Kongma La.
As you gain altitude, enjoy stunning views of the Nuptse ridge, Kongmatse glaciers, and the rocky peak of Pokalde.
Along the way, you'll come across a small lake and then face a steep climb to reach the summit of Kongma La pass at 5,535 meters.
From the pass, take in the breathtaking panorama of mountains, glaciers, icefalls, and lakes, including Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Island Peak, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Everest, Pumori, Nuptse, and Lhotse.
After a well-deserved rest, descend towards Chhukung, traversing the moraine and finally reaching the village where a few teahouses await.

Following the downward track, crossing lush sections of woodlands, raging river networks, and various settlements head towards Namche Bazaar. Upon reaching Namche after a brief rest head out to explore the region. Visit various cafes and restaurants.

It is downward journey today, crossing multiple bridges over the rushing Dudh Koshi River and its tributaries. Traverse open plains, enchanting rhododendron and pine forests, and catch glimpses of distant snow-capped peaks.
Pass through charming villages along the trail. Arriving at Lukla, take a well-deserved break and celebrate the achievements of your trek with fellow team members, savoring the final night in the mountains.

The flights to Kathmandu are usually scheduled for the morning for safety purposes. After reaching Kathmandu head towards your accommodation and rest.
Today you can take a guided tour of the city or stroll by on your own. In the evening, attend a farewell dinner to celebrate the successful completion of your trek.

On your departure day, say farewell to Nepal and the friends you've made during this memorable journey. A representative from the company will provide transportation from your hotel to the airport, ensuring you arrive three hours before your scheduled flight.

The trek requires two permits:
1) Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit.
2) Khumbu Rural Municipality Entrance Permit.
The Nepal Tourism Boards office in Kathmandu or the park’s entrance gate in Monjo can provide you with Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit for NRS 3000.
The fee for citizens of SAARC nations is NRS 1500.
You must complete the permit application and present your passport or a copy of your passport. You must be in Lukla to obtain the Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Entrance Permit. The permission costs NRS 2000 and may be acquired at the rural municipality counter on the outskirts of the settlement.
You will not have to worry about waiting for permits since the Everest Dreams team will take care of everything.
In brief, the trails are long, harsh, and with high cliffs and mountain terrains which is why trekkers need to be more prepared.
Thus, you must have strong physical and mental fitness, to withstand the difficulties in trekking. In addition, train your body hard enough so that it can resist pressure and frequently changing terrains.
Travel Insurance:
All clients participating in any activity must have travel insurance. Personal injury, death, hospital expenditures, repatriation fees, helicopter rescue, and any other disease covered by the insurance plan will be given, we highly advise you to acquire a comprehensive insurance plan from a trustworthy insurance company.
Passport and Visa:
Every client must have a valid passport from the return date with a 6 months prior validity by the Nepalese consulate in your country or the immigration office at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
Accommodation:
Accommodations are available in trekking lodges, teahouses, and several hotels all along the trail, providing basic, well-maintained, reasonably luxury 5-star ones with additional needs according to your budget. Tea houses on the trail vary in quality and price, depending on the amenities they feature.
The tea houses room has twin sharing beds and some basic furniture like a table or a chair. Normally, beds contain pillows and sheets and almost all tea houses provide extra blankets as it will be freezing at night. Usually, hot showers are available throughout the trek.
For trekkers who want to Camp, various campsites are available along the trail.
Transportations:
All the necessary transportation for your trip will be managed by us upon your request. Transportation is provided on a private as well as sharing basis. Solo travelers are provided with sharing or public transportation. Whereas travelers of two and above are provided with private transportation.
Potter and Guide:
Solo trekkers are provided with a single helper both acting as a Potter and Guide. For trekkers above two or more Potters and Guides are provided according to the size of the groups. Every two guest is provided with one potter.
Responsible Tourism:
As responsible for tourism we believe in respecting local communities, their culture, and rules. So, for that region, we would like you to follow some local rules and regulations during the trek. Always ask your guides for permission before doing something in the local community. Keep the environment clean. Help the local community to encourage the positive sides of tourism.
