To ensure safety, it is recommended to either refill boiling water or use cold filtered water from the tea houses. For additional peace of mind, trekkers can consider using water purification tablets, chlorine drops, or utilizing SODIS filtration methods to further purify the water, promoting environmental sustainability and reducing plastic waste.

Everest Dreams ensures a hassle-free process for obtaining the necessary permits for the Gokyo Valley Trek. There are two permits required for this trek:
Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit: The permit can be obtained from the Nepal Tourism Boards office in Kathmandu or the park’s entrance gate in Monjo. The cost of the permit is NRS 3000 for international trekkers. For citizens of SAARC nations, the fee is NRS 1500. To obtain the permit, you will need to complete the permit application and present your passport or a copy of your passport.
Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Entrance Permit: This permit is required for entering the Khumbu Rural Municipality. You can obtain this permit once you reach Lukla. The cost of the permit is NRS 2000, and it can be acquired at the rural municipality counter located on the outskirts of the settlement.
